CSL1 Centrifuge Strobe and Camera Trigger Control System

Centristrobe CSL1, is a system for generating high intensity, very short LED flashes with very precise timing initially for use with image capture systems on high speed centrifuges.

Below is a block diagram of the CSL1 system control unit. As can be seen, the unit has a fast optical trigger sensor and also features a programmable timed output trigger pulse for precise synchronisation of a camera trigger pulse. All timing is carried out using high precision programmable hardware counters and timers making the behaviour very deterministic. The CSL1 unit timing parameters can be set with a precision of <0.2uS with little or no jitter.

Rock Core Analysis Image Acquisition/Analysis Software & Hardware


To complement the CSL1 unit for Rock Core Analysis, a kit comprising PC application program and Digital Camera is being put together specifically for Oil Rock Core sample analysis and will be available very soon. This will allow monitoring and measurement of fluid interfaces positions and calculation of fluid volumes at high sample rates during Drainage Capillary Pressure
Imbibition Capillary Pressure tests.

GPST1 – General Purpose Signal and Trigger Processing Unit

Just about to be released and based on the hardware of the CSL1, the GPST1 unit can be programmed to perform any number of complex signal conditioning and timing functions. Below is a block diagram of the unit.

Its main strength is the ability to process several input signals to produce delayed and modified output signals.

The processing can be temporal (using precise timers) or spatial (using encoder inputs) and can be set to change depending on the state of additional Input signals or via communication from a PC using the integrated USB2 interface.

The units are programmed to your precise requirements and can be supplied in the CSL1 Style housing or as bare PCBs for integration into other OEM products.
